Green Schools Committee
The Green Schools Committee is a group of like minded students who work together to promote and educate the school community about living an environmentally friendly lifestyle. They meet weekly and discuss topical issues on how to implement positive changes within the school. They understand the importance of the fight against climate change and global warming. They hope they will pass on their new skills to their families and further into the community. This year they are working towards their 8th flag which has the theme of Global Citizenship and the Marine Environment.
Environmental Awareness
Students participate in national competitions such as BT Young Scientists’ and ECO-UNESCO National Environmental Awareness Competition. The School Debating Team has successfully competed, over a number of years in the Wicklow County Council Environmental Debates. Students are urged in every way to respect the environment in which they learn.
