A beautiful sunny day and a beautiful result! Congratulations to our show jumpers who had a great win in Boswell Equestrian on Saturday, 19th September.
CB was represented by 3 teams of four riders at the second leg of the equestrianinterschools.com league hosted by St. Gerard’s Bray in Boswell, Ashford.
A few unlucky faults kept two of our teams out of the hotly contested jump off. Proving flawless on the day our Kavanagh four finished their two rounds of jumping on zero faults, securing them a place in the jump off.
CB was drawn second to go in the jump off. With 8 teams coming behind us this meant we had to gamble all and go for it. It was their first day competing for the school but confident they could pull out all the stops we selected first year twins, Patrick and Aidan, to jump against the clock on behalf of their team. They were electric! Two fast clear rounds from the Kavanagh twins left CB in pole position.
The rest of the line up was: Newbridge College 2nd, Borris VC 3rd, Newbridge College 4th, Borris VC 5th and Gorey CS/Institute of Education 6th.
