Andrew Hughes was the recipient of a Naughton Foundation Scholarship on Saturday and will receive €5000 per year over his four year course. Andrew was picked as the Wicklow winner by the Naughton Family based on his academic and extra-curricular performances. Dr Martin Naughton is the founder of the Glen Dimplex company which specialises in domestic technology and owns many famous brands including Morphy Richards, Belling and LEC.
Their family foundation supports many educational initiatives mainly in the areas of Science and Technology. Andrew is studying Engineering in UCD and we wish him well with his studies! Thanks to Elma Drummond who guided Andrew through the application process.
