There was an immense sense of enthusiasm and ambition in Coláiste Bhríde on Friday night last
for the annual Careers Fair. 5th and 6th year students met with personnel from over twenty colleges including UCD, Trinity College, DCU, Maynooth NUI, Waterford IT, Carlow IT- Wexford and Carlow Campuses, Carlow College and a host of PLC colleges. Former students of the school studying in various faculties and colleges mentored CB students on psychology, medicine, physiotherapy, nursing, education, business, hair and beauty, engineering, architectural technology, IT, agriculture, social science, law and property economics. Ann McLaughlin gave a
seminar on Apprenticeships and Sgt. Kevin Fahy on careers with An Garda Síochana. Let’s hope it will help students to arrive at conclusive decisions about their third level studies and careers.
It is quite overwhelming to see so many of our past students excelling in their studies and all looking so well, so happy and making enquiries about teachers. We are indebted to them for giving their time and expertise.
We wish our 5th & 6th years well as they make informed choices with confidence.
