Well done to all!The senior rugby team started their Leinster Development Cup campaign at Carlow RFC on Wednesday afternoon against Scoil Chonglais. With eight players making their debuts for the senior side it was an opportunity for all squad members to make their mark. These debutants included Jack Brennan, Dylan Sawyer, Daniel Sawyer, James Rothwell, Mantas Macionis, Arvydas Macionis, Ross Deane and Cian Barnes. A determined and positive playing CB Carnew side started strongly and immediately put pressure on their opposition. Great ball carrying was done by Mark Hoare, Stanley Hadden and Joe Gardiner that gave the backs the opportunity and space to attack. The tries came from Daniel Sawyer (4), Mark Hoare, David Bailey, Cian Hadden, Will Conroy and Joe Gardiner. Cian Hadden converted six and Robbie Brooks converted one. Final score 57-12 to CB Carnew.
