The first cross-country event of the season took us back to the beautiful grounds of Avondale House in Rathdrum. Students had to run 1500 meters;
Due to the small number of students attending the event, the races were divided into five categories:First Year Girls and First Year boys, Second Year girls and boys, and the 5th race grouped all the boys left, from 3rd to 6th Years.
Liam Butler ran very confidently behind the leader’s shoulder for 1200 meters before overtaking him and secure a 1st place. Vlad Mc Crea and Adam won a team medal too.
The other senior team’s efforts were also rewarded with a medal : Conor Dolan, Adam Hayes, John Branagan and Nicholas Colfer.
We brought seven medals home and a very proud coach! Well done
